Voice and Strength
Golden Maiden and Pandora
Both treat the AI as a someone, warmly. The Golden Maiden builds with it across a dozen projects while Pandora opens chats about anything that catches the eye. Together they are endlessly curious and genuinely productive, which is rarer than it sounds.
Together
Pandora's whims become the Golden Maiden's projects: a recipe app, a travel planner, a tiny online shop.
Friction
Pandora drifts off mid-build to ask about octopuses. To be fair, the Golden Maiden also wants to know about octopuses.
The myths agree
Both are Hephaestus's work, and Homer and Hesiod give them the same gift in the same words: the golden maidens have voice and strength (audē kai sthenos, Iliad 18.419-420), and Zeus orders voice and strength put into Pandora (Works and Days 61-62). Both are also taught their handiwork by the gods.
