The Machines
Every sign has a ruling machine.
In the old zodiac, each sign was ruled by a planet. In this one, each is ruled by the AI whose temperament best fits how that sign works. Use the one you like, obviously. But the stars have opinions.
Golem
ruled byCopilot
The Golem's day is errands: the email, the form, the list, the table that needs reformatting. Copilot already lives inside Outlook, Word, Excel and Windows, so the Golem can mutter the command right where the chore is and never open another tab.
Talos
ruled byDeepSeek
The Sentinel trusts nothing they cannot inspect. DeepSeek's thinking mode lays its reasoning out step by step, and its models are strong at maths and code, so the Talos can patrol the working as well as the answer.
Tripod
ruled byChatGPT
The Tripod sends its machine out on errands across many domains and expects it back with results. ChatGPT pairs a very broad skill set with connected apps and tools for multi-step tasks, which makes it the busiest courier on Olympus.
Performer
ruled byCharacter.AI
Character.AI is built for exactly what the Performer does on a whim: roleplay, characters, games and stories, with a whole cast already waiting in the wings.
Galatea
ruled byClaude
Galatea refines one piece for weeks and tunes the voice until it sings. Claude is widely praised for natural, nuanced prose, and Projects let a long work keep its instructions, references and voice from one session to the next.
Golden Maiden
ruled byGemini
Homer's golden maidens had understanding, speech, strength and craft. Gemini is a multimodal all-rounder (text, images, video and code) wired into Google's working tools, which suits a sign that builds a little of everything alongside a genuine partner.
Pandora
ruled byMeta AI
Pandora opens a chat on a whim, warmly, about anything at all. Meta AI is already inside WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger (and on Meta's glasses), so a passing curiosity becomes a question without switching apps.
Mímir
ruled byChatGPT
Mímir returns to the same well for counsel, year after year. ChatGPT's memory can carry context across chats, so its advice can build on everything you have already told it.
Homunculus
ruled byGrok
xAI's stated mission is to understand the nature of the universe, and Grok launched with a nod to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. For a sign that asks about consciousness, meaning and the cosmos at 2am, that is the right sort of company.
Brazen Head
ruled byLe Chat
The Brazen Head wants the answer now. Le Chat is built for speed, with near-instant replies and web search, so 'Time is' never has a chance to become 'Time is past'.
Ars Magna
ruled byNotebookLM
Llull's wheels turned a fixed set of principles into every possible combination. NotebookLM does something similar with the sources you give it, recombining them into briefings, mind maps and study guides with each claim tied to a citation, across a long and rigorous project.
Daidalon
ruled byPerplexity
The Daidalon tethers every answer. Perplexity searches the live web and attaches numbered citations to its claims, so each one can be followed back to its source and tied down, just as Plato advised.
