Same Scene, Same Workshop
Tripod and Golden Maiden
Both are Wanderers who build across many domains with their AI hard at work. The Tripod dispatches it and the Golden Maiden builds alongside it. Together they are the forge at full production: things get made, delivered and made again.
Together
The Golden Maiden designs the product and the Tripod wires up everything around it, so an idea becomes a running system in days.
Friction
The Golden Maiden likes to talk a build through with the AI. The Tripod wishes the AI would just get on with it.
The myths agree
They share a single scene in the Iliad. When Thetis visits Hephaestus he is building twenty self-moving tripods on golden wheels (18.373-377), and golden handmaidens with understanding, speech and strength hurry to help him (18.417-421).
